Product Information:

Avandia 4 mg contains rosiglitazone, an oral antidiabetic medicine from the thiazolidinedione (TZD) class.
It is used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus by improving the body’s sensitivity to insulin, helping lower blood sugar levels. It is usually prescribed along with diet and exercise, and sometimes with other diabetes medicines.

How to Take:

• Take by mouth with a glass of water

• Can be taken with or without food

• Take it at the same time each day

• Swallow the tablet whole; do not crush or chew

• Follow your doctor’s instructions carefully

Dosage:

Dosage depends on individual blood sugar control and medical advice.

Typical dosage:

• Starting dose: 4 mg once daily

• May be taken as 4 mg once daily or 2 mg twice daily

• Dose may be increased gradually
