Bromfed DM (brompheniramine + pseudoephedrine + dextromethorphan)

Product Information:

Bromfed DM syrup is a prescription combination medicine used to relieve cough and cold symptoms such as cough, nasal congestion, sneezing, and runny nose.

It contains:

• Brompheniramine – an antihistamine that reduces allergy symptoms

• Pseudoephedrine – a decongestant that relieves nasal and sinus congestion

• Dextromethorphan (DM) – a cough suppressant that reduces the urge to cough

How to Take:

• Take exactly as prescribed by your healthcare provider.

• Use a proper measuring device (oral syringe or dosing cup).

• Can be taken with or without food.

• Do not take with other cold or cough medicines unless approved by a doctor.

Dosage:

• Adults & children ≥12 years: Often taken every 4–6 hours as needed.

• Children 6–11 years: Lower doses are used, only if prescribed.

• Under 6 years: Not recommended unless specifically directed by a doctor.

Warnings:

• May cause drowsiness or dizziness—use caution with schoolwork, biking, or activities needing focus.

• Do not use if you have severe high blood pressure, heart disease, glaucoma, or trouble urinating unless a doctor approves.

• Avoid combining with MAO inhibitors, certain antidepressants, or stimulant medications.

• Pseudoephedrine can increase heart rate or blood pressure.

• Tell your doctor if symptoms last more than 5–7 days, worsen, or include fever.
