Product Information:

Steglatro is a prescription oral medicine for type 2 diabetes that helps control blood sugar when used with diet and exercise. It belongs to the SGLT2 inhibitor class, which works by helping the kidneys remove excess glucose (sugar) through urine. It is not for treating type 1 diabetes.

How to Take It:

• Take once daily by mouth, usually in the morning.

• You can take it with or without food.

• Follow your doctor’s exact instructions and don’t double up if you miss a dose.

Dosage:

• Starting dose: 5 mg once daily.

• Your doctor may increase to 15 mg once daily if you need more blood sugar control and tolerate it well.

• Maximum dose: 15 mg once daily.

• Not recommended if your kidneys are not working well (eGFR < 45 mL/min/1.73 m²).

Warnings:

Before taking Steglatro, tell your doctor if you have or had:

• Kidney problems or poor kidney function.

• Foot problems, circulation issues, heart disease, or prior amputations.

• History of urinary tract or genital infections.

• Low blood pressure or dehydration.

• Plans for surgery or major illness.

• If you are pregnant or breastfeeding (not recommended while breastfeeding)
