Dosage & Administration of Etodolac (Lodine)

Dosage depends on the medical condition, formulation, and patient response. Always follow your doctor’s instructions.

Acute pain (Adults): 200–400 mg every 6–8 hours (max 1000 mg/day)
Arthritis (Adults): 300 mg 2–3 times daily or 400–500 mg twice daily
Extended-Release: 400–1000 mg once daily

Note: Extended-release tablets must be swallowed whole. Do not crush or chew.

May increase risk of heart attack or stroke with long-term use
Can cause stomach or intestinal bleeding without warning
Use with caution in elderly patients
Not recommended after coronary bypass surgery (CABG)
