Epitane (Epinastine) Eye Drops

Product Information:

Epitane Eye Drops contain epinastine hydrochloride (0.05%), a topical antihistamine used to relieve allergic eye symptoms such as itching, redness, swelling, and watering associated with allergic conjunctivitis. It works by blocking histamine, a chemical that causes allergic reactions in the eyes

Use:

• For ophthalmic use only — do not swallow. 

• Wash your hands before use. 

• Tilt your head back and gently pull down the lower eyelid.

• Hold the dropper just above the eye and instill 1 drop into the affected eye(s).

• Avoid touching the dropper tip to your eye or any surface to prevent contamination.

• After use, close the bottle tightly.

Dosage:

• Adults & children (typically ≥2 years):
  1 drop in each affected eye twice daily ( morning and evening) unless otherwise directed by your doctor. 

• Duration: Your doctor will decide based on severity. Continue even if you feel better; stopping early can allow symptoms to return.

Warnings:

• Allergy: Do not use if you’re allergic to epinastine or any ingredient in the drops. 

• Children: Use in children only under medical guidance (not generally for very young children).

• Vision: The drops can temporarily blur vision right after use — do not drive or operate machinery until vision clears.

• Pregnancy & Breastfeeding: Consult your doctor before use.

• Contact Lenses: Remove lenses before instillation and wait at least 10–15 minutes before reinserting.

• Contamination Risk: Never let the dropper tip touch your eye or any surface. Contaminated drops can cause infection.

Side Effects:

Most side effects are mild and temporary:

• Burning or stinging sensation in the eye

• Itching or irritation.

• Redness or watering of the eyes
