Olofast (Olopatadine) Nasal Spray

Product Information:

Olofast Nasal Spray contains olopatadine hydrochloride (usually 0.6%), an antihistamine medication used to relieve symptoms of allergic rhinitis (hay fever and other nasal allergies). It helps reduce sneezing, runny or stuffy nose, itching, and irritation caused by allergens like pollen, dust, or animal dander.

Use:

Olofast is for intranasal use only (sprayed into the nose). Follow your healthcare provider’s instructions exactly: 1mg+1

1. Shake the bottle gently before use.

2. Prime the spray before first use (release several sprays until a fine mist appears).

3. Blow your nose gently to clear the nostrils.

4. Insert the nozzle into a nostril, close the other nostril, and press the pump while breathing in gently through the nose.

5. Repeat for the other nostril.

6. Do not spray into the eyes or mouth.

7. Wipe the nozzle clean and replace the cap after use.

Dosage:

The exact dose and frequency should be prescribed by your doctor based on your age and symptoms.

• Adults & adolescents (≥12 years): Typically 2 sprays per nostril twice daily

• Children 6–11 years: Usually 1 spray per nostril twice daily

• Children <6 years: Use and dose should be determined by a doctor; it’s often not recommended without medical advice.

Warnings:

Before using Olofast Nasal Spray, tell your doctor if you have: 

• A history of allergic reactions to antihistamines or any ingredients

• Nasal ulcers, recent nasal surgery, or nasal trauma

• Liver, kidney, or heart conditions

• If you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding

• If you are taking other medications that may interact

Side Effects:

Most side effects are mild and temporary, but consult your doctor if they persist or worsen: 

• Bitter or unpleasant taste

• Nosebleeds

• Nasal dryness or irritation

• Headache

• Cough or throat discomfort

• Sleepiness or fatigue (rare)
