Product Information:

Belotero Intense is a dermal filler made of cross-linked hyaluronic acid (HA) — a substance naturally found in skin that attracts and binds water to add volume and smooth wrinkles. It uses a technology called Cohesive Polydensified Matrix (CPM) to integrate smoothly into the skin and provide natural-looking results.

It’s part of the Belotero family of fillers used in aesthetic medicine.

Uses:

Belotero Intense is primarily used by licensed healthcare professionals to correct deeper signs of aging and restore facial structure:

Deep wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial and marionette lines. Volume loss restoration in cheeks and mid-face
Jawline sculpting and definition
Chin enhancement and contouring. Subtle volume support in areas needing thicker filler
While not primarily designed for lips, it can also be used for lip contouring or subtle enhancement by experienced injectors.

Duration: Results appear immediately and typically last 9–12 months (sometimes up to ~18 months with proper technique and aftercare

How It’s Administered:

Belotero Intense must only be injected by a qualified medical professional (dermatologist, plastic surgeon, or trained injector). It is not a self-administered product.

  • Injected with a fine needle (often 27G) into the mid-to-deep dermis or subcutaneous layer.

  • Techniques vary (linear threading, bolus injections) depending on the area treated.

  • The amount and placement are tailored to individual anatomy and goals.

  • After injection, gentle massage may be used to distribute the filler evenly.

Warnings:

Although uncommon, serious complications can occur with any dermal filler:

Vascular occlusion if injected into a blood vessel — can lead to tissue damage
Vision impairment or blindness (very rare but documented with improper technique in fillers)
troke or cerebral ischemia associated with arterial injection
If you notice sudden vision changes, severe pain, blanching of skin, or unusual neurological symptoms, immediate medical attention is critical.

Side Effects:

Most side effects are mild and temporary, typically resolving within days to a week:

Redness, swelling, tenderness at the injection site
Bruising
Itching or sensitivity
Minor lumps or bumps (often resolve spontaneously)
Discoloration or hardness (less common)

Rare events might include infection, persistent nodules, or asymmetry, but these are uncommon and usually manageable with medical care.
