Hycodan (Hydrocodone+Homatropine) Syrup

Product Information:

Hycodan syrup is a prescription cough medicine used for short-term relief of severe, non-productive (dry) cough.

• Hydrocodone: an opioid cough suppressant that reduces the brain’s cough reflex.

• Homatropine: included in a small amount to discourage misuse.

How to Take:

• Take only as prescribed by your healthcare provider.

• Measure doses carefully using a dosing cup or oral syringe.

• May be taken with or without food (take with food if stomach upset occurs).

• Do not combine with alcohol or other medicines that cause drowsiness unless your doctor says it’s safe.

Dosage:

• Adults: Typically taken every 4–6 hours as needed for cough, for a short duration.

• Children: Not recommended, especially under 18, due to serious breathing risks from hydrocodone.

Warnings:
