Polex (Hydroxizine Oral Syrup)

Product Information:

Polex Syrup is a combination medicine containing:

• Paracetamol (125 mg per 5 ml) — an analgesic (pain reliever) and antipyretic (fever reducer)

• Promethazine (5 mg per 5 ml) — an antihistamine with anti‑allergic and sedative effects 

It’s commonly prescribed for children to relieve symptoms associated with fever and allergic colds.

Uses:

Primary indications in children:

• Fever and body ache

• Symptoms of common cold (runny nose, cough, sneezing, watery eyes)

• Allergic symptoms associated with upper respiratory infection

• Symptom relief in chickenpox (for fever and discomfort

Dosage:

• The dose depends on child’s age and weight.

• Follow the measured instructions from your doctor or the package label.

• Use the measuring cup provided — do not use kitchen spoons.

• If the child vomits within 30 minutes of dosing, you may repeat the dose only if advised by the doctor.

Warnings:

• Allergy to any ingredient

• Liver or kidney disease

• Malnutrition or G6PD deficiency

• History of sleep disorders or respiratory problems
