Testosterone enanthate (Injectable)

Testosterone enanthate is a well-established formulation of the male hormone testosterone, delivered via intramuscular injection and designed for sustained release over the dosing interval. It is prescribed when one’s body is not producing sufficient endogenous testosterone (a condition known as hypogonadism) or when replacement therapy is medically indicated. Upon injection into muscle, the enanthate ester is gradually cleaved to free testosterone, helping to maintain physiological testosterone levels over days to weeks. Patients may experience improvements in symptoms such as low libido, reduced spontaneous erections, fatigue, muscle-loss, mood changes, and diminished bone density. Because this is a potent hormone therapy, treatment requires careful monitoring: serum testosterone levels, hematocrit, lipid profile, liver and kidney function, prostate health (in males) and fertility considerations. Side-effects may include acne, increased hair growth (or hair loss depending on individual response), fluid retention, mood swings, testicular shrinkage, and possible impact on fertility. Patients should also be informed that testosterone therapy is not approved simply for age-related “low T” without a documented medical cause.
