Product Information:

• Entyvio (vedolizumab) is a prescription medication used to treat inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD), including:

  • Ulcerative colitis

  • Crohn’s disease

• It works as a monoclonal antibody, targeting a specific protein in the gut to reduce inflammation without affecting the whole immune system.

How Entyvio Is Usually Taken

• Form: Intravenous (IV) infusion

• Initial dosing: Usually given at week 0, week 2, and week 6

• Maintenance dosing: Every 8 weeks after initial doses (some patients may require every 4 weeks depending on doctor’s guidance)

• Infusion time: Each dose is typically given over 30 minutes in a clinic or hospital

• Monitoring: Doctors monitor for infusion reactions and signs of infection

Dosage Information:

Entyvio Infusion for Crohn’s Disease or Ulcerative Colitis (Induction)

Week 0: 300 mg intravenous infusion for approximately 30 minutes
Week 2: 300 mg administered as an intravenous infusion over approximately 30 minutes
Week 6: Patients can continue with Entyvio infusion or switch to the injection, which is given subcutaneously. If continuing intravenous infusion, it is infused at week 6, then every 8 weeks thereafter.
